In the Social Worker job, you will be:
Working in the Children, Families and Safeguarding Service providing a direct social work service to those who are deemed to have unmet needs and/or considered to be at risk of harm/significant harm
Undertaking complex assessments, care plans and processes and identifying and meeting needs ensuring that the rights of the individual are safeguarded
Providing support and developing resilience and independence, ensuring that children and their families are at the centre of decision making about their lives and the outcomes that they want to achieve without compromising the child’s safety
Building relationships and working in partnership with children and their families/carers to identify and meet needs
To be successful in the Social Worker role, you will need to have:
Recognised Social Worker qualification and registered with the Care Council
3 years post qualifying experience including work within a statutory social work setting with children and families
Experience of using Safeguarding procedures
Current valid driving licence and ability to travel within the geographical work area as required
This is a temporary position for the period of approximately 12 weeks (may be extended), working 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday).
The role will be a combination of home based and office days located in Colwyn Bay.
You'll be starting on a salary of £21.98 per hour plus overtime and holiday pay.
