SalarySocial Worker needed for the Adoption & Special Guardianship Support Team in Huntingdon – paying £35 ph !

The role sits in the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Team where you would join a therapeutic team offering support services to children and families impacted by their journey to a safe permanent home.
The team models are routed in developmental trauma and attachment and we work with a range of stakeholders to provide a child-centred comprehensive approach. Core services of the team include parenting support, family work, individual work with children, advice and guidance, birth records counselling, intermediary services, counselling for birth relatives, life story work, letterbox and contact.
The Social Worker role would focus on:
- primarily undertaking duty calls to the adoption Support Team. This will be to signpost to other se occasions where they will undertake initial needs based assessments for children and families in a permanent care placement – adoption and Special Guardianship
- working with colleagues most notably in children’s services, education and CAMHS to best support families.
Services, guide and advise families, as well as starting their involvement with team.
