About Us: Join our dedicated Children in Care Service, a 0-18 team committed to promoting the well-being, life chances, and outcomes of children and young people in our community. We are seeking passionate Social Workers who are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of Children in Care. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 18-20 children and young people within the Children in Care system.
- Provide comprehensive support and intervention to children and young people, promoting their well-being and positive outcomes.
- Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and review progress in collaboration with children, families, and relevant stakeholders.
- Undertake adoption casework, including family finding, matching, and progression to adoption orders.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate services and support for children and families.
- Advocate for the rights and best interests of children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to data protection and confidentiality standards.
- Participate in regular supervision, training, and professional development activities to enhance practice and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration.
- Demonstrated experience and passion for working with Children in Care.
- Strong assessment, intervention, and case management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative abilities.
- Ability to manage a challenging workload effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Commitment to promoting the well-being and rights of children and young people.
