About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for those who have an interest in adult safeguarding. The adult safeguarding team is a small county wide team. The role is within an adult safeguarding team, providing response to adult at risk reports through compliance with the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
About you:
- Understanding of the legal frameworks within adult social care in order to be able to effect protective responses to adult at risk reports.
- The Ability to chair meeting effectively, posing skills in negotiation and influence.
- Ability to communicate effectively, presenting complex information and managing conflict across professional and organisational boundaries.
- Ability to engage with adults at risks and their representatives to explore their circumstances and the outcomes they wish to achieve.
- You will need to be committed to ensuring individuals' fundamental human rights are protected and promoted.
- Ability to write S126 reports and care and support protection plans that incorporate analysis and risk reduction.
What you will do:
- Undertaking of Section 126 enquiries and associated actions.
- Undertaking the Safeguarding Lead Co-ordinator and chairing adult safeguarding meetings.
- Developing risk reduction strategies and care and support protection plans.
- Developing support to operational teams and partners to explore adult at risk concerns and make professional judgements relating to risk.
- Attending and represent Adult Services in multi-agency meetings such as MARAC, MAPPA and Problem Solving Groups
- 6) Working with partner agencies such as health and social care, police and commissioning services.
