Children's Social Workers for Children in Our Care- Ref: CH11423
Grade G9; Salary Range: £38,223 - £43,421 per annum
This is an exciting opportunity to join our corporate parenting service in Walsall as we are seeking to appoint full time Social Workers.
As Corporate Parents, we aim to advocate and champion the voice of children and young people in the work that we do and enable them to participate and co produce in practice and service delivery. You will be a Social Work England registered social worker, bringing to the role a track record of working with children in care and care leavers. You will be a skilled and experienced social worker, having a proven ability to a make a difference in the outcomes for children in care and care experienced young people.
If you are passionate about doing the best for our children in care and care experienced young people, have excellent communication and multi-agency working skills, and want to work as part of a friendly team committed to ongoing learning and restorative practice where you will receive good supervision and training then please apply.

We have significantly improved our workforce stability, and we would like you to join our increasingly settled, permanent staff group. Within our 2022 staff health survey, 92% of staff said that they feel positive about working for Walsall. Feedback was that this was especially because we have a small community feeling here in Walsall, and staff feel part of a team and supported by their managers and Senior Managers. Also, 89% of staff overwhelmingly felt that they had access to the right training, induction and learning and development opportunities for their role.
