Hours:Full time (35 hours) 14 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave (14 months) Hybrid working, flexible working arrangements will also be considered.Salary:£32,000 Per AnnumClosing Date:Fri, 5 Jul 2024We have an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to join our Society Financial Planning, Stress Testing and Reporting team, for one of the largest Building Societies in the UK. Working alongside other finance professionals in the team, you will be analysing data and preparing inputs to the monthly management accounts, half year and annual statutory accounts.This role offers hybrid working, based out of our head office in Skipton, and any other flexible working requests will be considered. Additionally, you will play a key rol
e in the half year and full year end statutory reporting process.Although the majority of this role is working with data and numbers, you’ll also balance this with building excellent relationships with your team members and stakeholders to ensure effective communication around processes and procedures.What Do We Need From You?We’re looking for someone who has demonstrable analytical skills and enjoys working with a range of data sources. You’ll be able to produce accurate work within strict timescales, meaning you can prioritise multiple tasks to achieve daily requirements.You’ll strike the balance of being able to build relationships within your team whilst also being confident to make decisions using your own initiative. The key competencies for this role are:Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a working knowledge of finance systems such as but not exclusively – Workday (FINs and Adaptive Planning system) and Excel.Working towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA/CIMA/ACA part qualified) is desirable.Motivation to contribute towards a positive and collaborative working environment.
