SalaryMCS Group are delighted to be working with a globally well-renowned law firm whose focus is to assist world-leading businesses to grow, develop and thrive in a tough and competitive market. They are currently seeking to bring a Software Asset Management Specialist on board for a Fixed Term Contract for 18 months. As a Software Asset Management Specialist, your goal within the role will be to join multiple areas within the business to manage the life cycle of the assets. You will be joining the team as a Software Asset Management Specialist at an exciting time for development.
The Role
Be a key liaison point between IT and key third party software suppliers.
Assist with vendor audits in line with the firms audit processes whilst managing stakeholders and communications to mitigate any risks in a timely manner.
Have a thorough understanding of complex licence models across Enterprise vendors
Maintain the integrity of data in the SAM tool by ensuring deployment and entitlement information is recorded accurately and that complex licensing metrics are reflected appropriately.
Work with the Service Desk to educate in relation to SAM processes and governance, developing/maintaining work flow approvals for the automation of software requests for the firm.
Contribute to the SAM strategy and governance processes to make process efficiencies whilst ensuring the level of risk and exposure is minimised.
The Person
Minimum 2/3 years practical experience in software licensing or Software Asset Management within a complex IT environment. (Essential)
Comprehensive understanding of data analysis principles and processes.
Proven experience conducting detailed data analysis.
A background in software licensing would be highly advantageous.
Length: Fixed Term Contract (2 years)
Pay rate: Up to £38,000 - £45,000
Location: Belfast (Hybrid available)
