You’ll be employed in Stevenage, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis with flexible hours.
Join the Real Time Datalink Software team, as a Technical Specialist, where you will lead the design and development of future datalink systems and associated protocols, shaping the landscape of mobile communications within weapon systems design.
Qualifications & Requirements – Software Defined Radio Technical Specialist
- Proven ability to lead a team of Software Engineers
- Experience in mobile/satellite communications and associated protocols
- Expertise in Software Defined Radio, network architectures, and communication protocols (e.g., SPI, UART, Ethernet, PCI-Express)
- Familiarity with communication systems, theory, digital signal processing, and wireless protocols (e.g., 5G NR, LTE, 802.11)
- Knowledge of Mesh Networking and associated protocols (e.g., AODV)
- Understanding of radio interfaces and various modulation/demodulation techniques
- Proficiency in Software Design methodologies (e.g., UML)
- Proactive collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams
- System integration and performance analysis capabilities
- Effective communication skills for client-level interactions, meetings, and presentations
