Software Developer

Software Developer - 6 month contract - Edinburgh Hybrid working - outside IR35
I am looking for a skilled Software Developer to contribute to the continued development of core systems for our Public Sector in Edinburgh, particularly focussing on developing a new prepayment service as well as HR solution.

Key Skills:

• AWS (CDK, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Cloud Formation, Aurora/Postgres)
• TypeScript, Node JS, React
• Strong HTML/CSS with accessibility awareness

Experience Needed:

• Proven background in high-quality software delivery in cross-functional teams
• Designing, developing and implementing service and event-based architecture
• Experience of Digital First and GDS quality standards
• Human-centred, research-driven design practices
• Agile development, CI/CD, TDD, and Pair Programming
• Infrastructure as code and legacy system replacement
• UI pattern libraries for consistent, tested interfaces
• Mentoring team members
• Ability to work onsite in Edinburgh as part of a Hybrid working pattern
