Software Developer

A Glasgow based Software Company are on the look out for an experienced Java Developer to join one of their talented squads.

The company have been operating successfully for nearly half a century and have seen massive growth, with offices in Scotland and England. They are highly respected in their field, consistently delivering bespoke solutions and services to their clients that are spread across the whole of the UK.

You'd be joining one of their Agile squads which is comprised of 4 Developers, a Software Tester and a Scrum Master. Some of their employees have been with the company for over 10 years (their retention is great here which is a massive testament to the company culture).

You'll gain exposure to the whole SDLC, working on the organisations core products and solutions. Most of your day to day will be spent working in the back end with Java and Spring. They sue React in the front end - you aren't expected to be an expert in this as it is a back end role, but some basic understanding of it so you can help out if needed would go a long way.

You'll have commercial experience with the following;

** Modern Java

** Spring

** Front End Exposure (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, React)

** SQL

Experience with the following would definitely get you some bonus points;

** Microservices

** CI/CD Development

Being an effective communicator is also equally as imortant for the company.

They're based in Glasgow and expect you to visit the office a few times a month for Sprint planning and business updates. The salary on offer for this role is up to £50k on top of a good list of benefits (private health care, 31 days of annual leave, flexible working, onsite parking).
