My Client is seeking a business intelligence (BI) developer who will be working on designing various analytical reports on company data and delivering them to top management and other interested parties in both Microsoft Power BI and Crystal Reports. A good understanding of writing and updating optimized T-SQL will be required as well as relational database design knowledge.
You will need to be comfortable with both management and business users, collecting their requests, and then creating new or updating existing BI reports to accommodate business needs. You will be expected to establish company standards and common reporting terminology, to help align existing and future reporting requests to such standards.
Also, you will be interacting with the company's third party Application suppliers and ensure data is clean and business and system processes are fit for our business needs. You will also be responsible for any day to day MIS software queries and issues liaising with the third party software providers to resolve these.
Main Responsibilities
- Interpret, maintain and simplify business reporting requirements
- Implement BI reports based on the above requirements and create technical documentation to support
- Collect and maintain system requirements for the companies third party MIS print system Tharstern
- Analyse existing reports and optimize them for standardization across the company
- Set up and maintain BI tools and integration with company data sources
- Work with the companies third party MIS software provider to resolve daily software issues and ensure the software is aligned with our business process needs.
- Identify and advise on technologies to improve business systems and management information
Required Skills
- Good Crystal Report development knowledge
- Good Microsoft Power BI development knowledge
- Understanding database operations and optimization for Microsoft SQL Server 2016
- Understanding data and query optimization, stored procedures and functions
- Creating and maintaining business requirements and other technical documentation for reporting, data analysis and the companies third party MIS print system processes.
