Job Title: Software Development Lead
Salary - £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
Location: Newton Aycliffe
Shifts: Day Shift - 9.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 1.00pm on Friday.

The Position
We are looking for a Software Development Lead. In this role you will lead a team of three in the department including 2 software developers and a data analyst. The role will offer lots of autonomy and you will have the ability to improve and implement software of choosing and have full control of the department decisions and control to define scope of the department.
Skills & Requirements of a Packaging Designer
- Educated to a minimum level apprenticeship in an IS/IT related discipline.
- Strong background in Software Development of both website and applications to include integration.
- Experience of C#, .NET Core/.NET 7, .NET MVC, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML or CSS.
- Experience of SQL database administration.
- Leadership experience - able to clearly manage, communicate and delegate within a small development team or desire to step up into a leadership role.
- Knowledge of Project management tools including Azure DevOps Repos & Pipelines and Jira Boards would be desirable.
Responsibilities of a Packaging Designer
- Define and develop Software Development lifecycle processes and standards.
- Development of new software applications for departments throughout the business.
- Routine administration, maintenance and enhancement of existing software applications.
- SQL database administration and development including writing T-SQL, creating/maintaining SSRS and Power Bi reports.
- Investigation and utilisation of new technologies.
- Managing Development team workload and progression.
- Gather requirements from users and compose specification documents/tickets.
- End user support using Service Desk tools.
- Write end-user documentation.
- Web, application and database development.
