Software Engineer

Jonathan Lee Recruitment are partnering with a consultancy looking to hire a Software Engineer for a 12 month contract project outside ir35 to work for an automotive client based in Manchester city centre. We are looking for a Software Engineer with a passion for quality, and proven experience of full stack software development and design, is required for a variety of digital projects. We are looking for great engineers who have a passion for innovative problem solving, quality-first coding and practicing Continuous Integration.

Reporting to a Senior Software Engineer and working closely with other multi-disciplined engineers, you will be a valued member of the Global Digital Development Centre team, consistently delivering to challenging business objectives, with a focus on testability, robustness, and performance for exciting new projects. You will work on real projects alongside experienced engineers and expected to use your passion for technology to quickly learn on the job.

Software Engineer

upto 350 a day outside ir35

based onsite in Manchester 2 days a week

Key Responsibilities

Software design and code development to internal standards and practises

Contribute to development of parts of the software system

Contribute to CICD and DevOps practises

Support all agile development ceremonies

Contribute to Issue investigation and resolution

Implementation of all applicable testing for software

Contribute to code reviews where appropriate

Skills

Our Software Engineers should have:

2+ years experience with Java, Spring Boot

Experience with AWS ideally including Infrastructure as code

Experience with container frameworks, Docker / Kubernetes

We are keen to speak to people who also have the following skills:

 2+ years experience developing bespoke built enterprise scale cloud-native applications.
