We are passionate about developing novel and innovative mechanical testing systems, and we're now expanding! About The Role

We are looking for a self-starting and enthusiastic Software Engineer who is passionate about working on complex science and engineering problems.

The role requires working on the web-based application that controls one of our hardware products and synchronises results with the company’s cloud platform. You will collaborate with third-party teams, adding new features, and addressing issues that arise during the hardware, software and cloud integration. You will be expected to lead code reviews and ensure code quality and best practices.

Our technology stack is Python, Flask, ReactJS and AWS.

You should have a practical, self-motivated approach to your work, and you will need to feel comfortable working in a dynamic start-up environment. We are looking for people who can deliver pragmatic solutions on time and on budget and we have several immediate and exciting projects that you will be able to support us on.

Location

Cambridge Science Park.

Requirements

Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Robotics, Telecommunication, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.

Experience in developing software for a large web application with Python and ReactJS.

Understanding of Graphical User Interface Design and Development.

Experience with product testing and documentation.

Understanding of Cloud architecture e.g. AWS.

Confident with Git source code repository and version control system.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication skills and practical use of written and spoken English.

Experience in The Following Areas Would Be Advantageous

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

Experience in the full product development life cycle.

Experience with the following libraries: PySide2, PyQt, Pyplot, Scikit-learn.
