What you'll be doing
Crafting and Refining APIs: Lead the development and refinement of APIs using Node.js and TypeScript, ensuring they're scalable, efficient, and meticulously designed.
Empowering Automated Software Delivery: Collaborate closely on CI/CD Pipelines to establish and enhance automated software delivery pipelines, streamlining processes.
Ensuring Reliability and Performance: Assist in setting up monitoring solutions with Datadog and engage in contract testing to uphold standards.
Guiding the Next Generation: Take on a mentorship role, supporting junior developers and fostering their professional growth.
Seamless Integration: Dive into integration tasks using Java, Golang, and other technologies, connecting systems and services seamlessly.
Driving Serverless Solutions: Utilize AWS Lambdas and API Gateways to implement cutting-edge serverless solutions, shaping the company's cloud architecture.
Fortifying Security Measures: Implement robust OIDC solutions like AWS Cognito, bolstering security measures and managing authentication and authorization.
Streamlining Infrastructure Management: Contribute to managing AWS resources through Terraform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
About you
Node.js and TypeScript Expertise: Proficient in Node.js and TypeScript, crafting and maintaining robust, scalable code.
API Design Mastery: Experienced in designing RESTful APIs, prioritizing scalability and efficiency.
AWS Enthusiasm (Nice to Have): Whether already familiar or eager to learn, interested in AWS services such as Lambdas, API Gateways, and Cognito.
CI/CD Proficiency: Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and their role in software development, contributing to streamlined processes.
Infrastructure Knowledge: Understanding of infrastructure as code principles, with an interest in tools like Terraform.
Testing and Monitoring Advocate: Committed to upholding standards of reliability and performance through testing and monitoring.

Interview process
2 stage interview process, initial informal call with the hiring manager and then a structured formal interview (technical / competency focused).
Working Schedule
We work Mon - Fri, 37.5 hours a week, but allow for flexibility where required.
This role can be fully remote, with organized team days in our Bristol based offices once per quarter as a maximum.
