SalaryWithin this team, you will have direct exposure to some of the most impactful teams and individuals across the firm, working directly with business stakeholders and there are also opportunities to work directly with the Head of Trading, CTO and CEO.
This team are responsible for:
- Working closely with quantitative teams to understand data requirements.
- Developing high throughput near real-time event driven datasets using live trade and market data
- Developing solutions that enable the efficient and reliable extraction of insight from all captured market data.
- Integrate with external APIs to ingest required data (market data, balances, trades, etc).
- Engaging with other developer teams to onboard them onto the data platform using best practices.
Your Profile:
Below are some skills that will give you a leg up on other candidates applying for the role. However, even if you only meet some of the requirements below, this world-leading firm still very much encourages you to apply as they are open to speaking to talented technologists of any suit!
- Strong programming skills: Java (Rust experience or an interest in it is nice to have!)
- Strong proficiency in SQL and modelling relational data.
- Experience working with REST and WS APIs.
- Experience in building event driven applications using Kafka.
- Experience of databases including tick data stores (MySQL, Click house. etc).
- Experience with AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience of Linux, Docker a plus.
- Experience of a DevOps environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Self-starter with fluent communication in written and spoken English.
