Roles and Responsibilities:
- Model Development: Lead the development and enhancement of quantitative models for valuing and analyzing assets.
- Data Management: Oversee the processing and management of proprietary data integral to the firm's investment strategies.
- Algorithm Design: Design and implement complex algorithms for developing investment strategies specific to private markets.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with investment teams to provide analytical support for decision-making processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Tool Development: Create sophisticated tools for market data capture, parsing, and the productionization of quantitative models.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous back-testing and stress-testing of models to ensure their effectiveness and resilience under various market conditions.
- Communication: Effectively communicate complex quantitative concepts and model implications to non-technical stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years in quantitative roles.
- Education: Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python; experience with other programming languages and tools (e.g., R, MATLAB, SQL) is advantageous.
- Market Knowledge: Solid understanding of asset allocation and portfolio construction, with prior experience in private markets highly desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of developing actionable insights from complex data sets.
- Communication Skills:* Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
*Preferred Experience:*
- Previous role as a Quantitative Developer or Analyst in a private markets environment.
- Demonstrable experience in the financial sector with a focus on quantitative analysis and strategic development.
