Software Engineer / Developer (C++ SDK IoT iOS) Cambridge / WFH to £60k

Are you a backend focussed Software Engineer looking for an opportunity to work on real world technology with complex and interesting challenges within a supportive tech driven environment?

You could be progressing your career at a successful software house and helping to create the latest generation of cutting edge products for the automotive sector and high performance cars; the core product is currently embedded into 35 million cars and that number is rising.

As a Software Engineer / Developer you will join a cross functional Agile team to design and develop new features and enhancements on the core product, mobile app as well as SDKs. There's a range of technical challenges with new projects constantly in the pipeline. You'll be able to work with a range of technologies, primarily C++ and mobile technologies such as Android and Kotlin but will also get to learn Rust on the job.

There are excellent career progression opportunities, as a senior member of the team you'll provide some mentoring and move into a leadership role if desired.

WFH Policy:

There's a flexible hybrid work from home model, with 2-3 days a week in the Cambridge office and a 35 hour week enabling a good work / life balance.

Requirements:

• You have experience with backend C++ development
• You also have experience with software development for mobile / IoT devices (you are familiar with at least one of the following: iOS, Android, Kotlin, QNX, Windows, Genivi, Objective-C)
• You're keen to work with emerging technologies and pick up new skills e.g. Rust
• You're collaborative with great communication skills, happy to mentor and get involved in tech discussions
