Role Purpose:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Software/Firmware Engineer with commercial experience in the full product development lifecycle, comfortable with a wide scope of responsibility.
What you will be doing:
As the client are a small team, the successful Software/Firmware Engineer will cover everything from low level machine firmware to cloud based customer tools so need to be very versatile and adaptable.
Hours 9-5pm, 100% office based. There may be some flexibility with hours after probation period is over, but it will remain office based.
What experience you'll have:
• Relevant degree such as Computer Science
• Software Engineering with industrial experience in Software Development
• Extensive knowledge of C++, Familiar with Debain, QT and Linux ecosystem
• Experience of high-level languages and tools including C# and Azure or similar
• Experience in developing software for bespoke hardware
You'll have an understanding of:
• Comfortable in a role with a wide scope ranging from embedded systems to cloud technologies
• Comfortable with protocols ranging from MQTT to Modbus
• Knowledge of SQL, GIT, Jenkins
• Test Driven Development
