On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Software Procurement Managerfor a 12 month contract based in London hybrid 50 / 50 split between office and home working.
Purpose of the Role:
The CIB UK Procurement team supports organisational units of CIB and some UK businesses in the process of buying goods and services they require to ensure the best combination of quality, risk and cost.
The CIB Procurement team responsibilities include:
- Defining the strategic Procurement approach for the UK categories of expense.
- Influencing and supporting internal stakeholders with regards to their Procurement needs.
- Managing relationships with key suppliers.
- Management of contract negotiations with support from the Legal team.
- Management of risk in the supply chains.
- Coordinating with Group Procurement to leverage where possible Global supplier relationships.
- Operation of controls and systems that ensure correct application of contracts and fees.
As a Software Procurement Manager you will be responsible for:
- Handling Software Procurement requests issued by CIB Business Lines / Functions / UK territory for IT services.
- Supporting the internal client in the identification of the supplier that best meets the selection criteria.
- Ensuring the robustness and objectivity of the supplier selections falling within your scope.
- Managing risks linked to Procurement activities, in particular Supplier Risks connected with your scope to ensure the procurement processes are fully compliant in respect of the CIB Procurement Norms & Standards.
- Proposing action plans/procurement strategies to optimise CIB's external expenses based on a range of levers.
- Engaging with stakeholders regarding business plans and aligning the IT Software Procurement opportunities accordingly.
You will be responsible for contributing to the optimisation of cost base by delivering savings while respecting sustainable development for targeted areas. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the early engagement with stakeholders with expert guidance and advice, and ensuring that business requirements are understood, managed, and fulfilled.
- Ensuring that Information & Technology (IT) services spending is compliant and channeled towards preferred suppliers / framework agreements.
- Being aware of and supporting supplier compliance with corporate policies including IT, Compliance, and Third-Party Risk Management.
- Commercially managing sourcing activity (RFI's/RFP's/RFQ's) for projects ensuring agreed business objectives and quality standards are delivered on time and on budget.
- Gathering and analysing data and information on spend, supply markets, supplier costs, and performance.
What we require from the candidate:
- Strong IT procurement lead experience from within a global Procurement function within IT software.
- Hands on experience in negotiation and management of software supplier contracts.
- Broad understanding of IT Services (particularly the software) market, including awareness of the key players and services.
- Experience of working in Finance or other highly regulated environments, including good awareness of Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) processes and awareness of UK financial regulations.
- Experience and knowledge of managed services and a working understanding of outsourcing.
- Strong experience of contract management including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and approving business wide MSAs and Statements of Work (SoWs).
- Ability to build relationships and influence key and senior stakeholders, and to act as a subject matter expert on Professional Services procurement up to and including executive level.
