Salary: Circa £55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience

The opportunity! Software Verification and Validation Team Lead
Would you like to be part of a group of hardworking and specialist engineers helping to deliver some of the world's most sophisticated defence systems?
You'll be part of a team of engineers and technical experts who deliver specialist expertise across a range of our products. It's a great place to learn about the company's entire product range within a team that is embracing innovative technologies!
You will lead a team of V&V engineersto deliver of IVV (Independent Verification and Validation) activities on specific projects.
There are a number of key elements to this role:

• Team Leadership
• Ensure excellence is provided by delivering a range of independent verification activities
• Development and execution of formal tests by the IVV Team
• Ensuring evidence is produced which demonstrates that the Software Safety Requirements
• Evidence supporting the Software Safety Case is provided
• Providing evidence to show that the weapon systems are demonstrated as fit for purpose
• To further develop the capability of the team through continuous improvement, coaching and mentoring

What we're looking for from you:

• You'll bring previous experience of leading teams
• Experience of planning and implementing verification activities on high integrity or mission critical software
• It would be beneficial for you to have experience of working with embedded systems and equipment
• A motivated engineer who values the benefits of coaching and mentoring
• Not critical but useful if you have experience and knowledge of software safety standards e.g. DO178C
