Manchester city centre based law firm has an opportunity for a Solicitor (0-3 PQE) to join their Clinical Negligence department. This role would suit candidates who have experience of managing a caseload of the full spectrum of Clinical Negligence matters, or to have gained experience of assisting in such matters during a Training Contract.
The team includes members of the Law Society's specialist panel of Clinical Negligence solicitors and the Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA) solicitors panel.
Skills and knowledge required:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales, c.0-3 years’ PQE.
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of legal principles and court procedures in relation to Clinical Negligence work.
- Prepare and plan cases at all levels of court in connection with Clinical Negligence work.
- Undertake advocacy before District Judges and where appropriate Circuit Judges in connection with Clinical Negligence work.
- Determine appropriately the need for experts, agents or counsel to be instructed upon issues which they are to address.
- Understand and put into practice LSC Franchise requirements.
