The role and what youll be getting up to on a day to day basis:
As a Solutions Architect you will work as part Enterprise Architecture Services team to work closely with our clients to consult, advise, design, and present solutions.You will be based remotely with a requirement to be on our client site in Stevenage (onsite 2-3 days per week)
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer and working as part of a team the role will involve working with external clients & vendors, along with internal Service Account Managers and Business Development Managers to deliver technology led solutions to help our clients make informed decisions to formulate their IT Strategy and Roadmap.
Your main duties will include:
- Work alongside our clients through transformation, change, and optimisation initiatives within our domain to create and present proposals for our professional services team to deliver.
- Create roadmaps and investment plans aligned with and supporting organisational strategy & development plans.
- Foster relationships, engage, and influence a wide range of stakeholders to understand, inform, and gain support for architectural roadmaps.
- Infrequently travel to and from client sites for meetings and presentations, both individually and as part of a wider delivery team
What are we looking for in the successful candidate?
- Experience working as a Solutions Architect in a previous role.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to represent technological solutions that are immediately understandable to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to provide strategic solutions across a diverse range of clients and technologies.
- Understanding of cloud automation and orchestration technologies
- Proven experience architecting systems built upon both public cloud technologies (Azure/M365/AWS/GCP) or on-premises infrastructures.
- Professional experience/certifications in related technologies (e.g. Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Excellent understanding of technical design concepts such as platform availability, networking, security best practices, authentication models, virtualisation, automation routines, and WAN technologies
