Meraki Talent’s leading financial services client is actively looking for a Solutions Architect (Software & Applications) to join their growing team. Our client has deemed Bristol to be one of it’s key tech related European hubs, and have invested heavily in growing the site, from both a technology and headcount perspective. This role would suit someone career minded, looking to get access to new toys and tools, who wants to develop their career with a defined plan surrounding. The Solutions Architect (Software & Applications) will deliver value by delivering scalable software to production, ensuring platforms / services are built with standards maintained, and be responsible for the solutions for the domain application stack. Transformation minded, this role would suit an experienced Solutions Architect, or someone a Senior Software Developer/Manager who has been exposed to design and architecture principles, looking for the next move.
  
Responsibilities of the Solutions Architect (Software & Applications):
  
- Architect customer-facing applications, APIs and integrations with other systems using modern application and cloud native patterns
- Design and document the architecture of software related technology solutions
- Be responsible for the application architecture and the delivery of the engineering design deliverables, managing architecture related decisions through governance  
- Act as a conduit between tech and various business areas, ensuring solutions meet goals and technology strategy
  
Background of the Solutions Architect (Software & Applications):
  
- A background in software/application development is essential for this role. Although flexible on language and discipline skills, the background in dev is essential
- Good solid understanding of design and architecture principles
- Technically minded and able to act as a conduit between enterprise and development
- Knowledge of building solutions with API, microservices, event-driven architecture, software architecture patterns helpful
- Knowledge of modern technology and application integration helpful as well as messaging, integration & data streaming technology helpful
