About the roleWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sourcing Analyst with appropriate procurement experience to join our team and meet the needs of the key responsibilities, working within a fast-paced environment. As a Sourcing Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our sourcing operations by analysing business spend, market trends and evaluating suppliers. Your keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to effectively communicate with vendors will be essential in ensuring that we maintain a strong hold on our sourcing operations within the business.

The individual will have a global remit in material sourcing analysis and cost reduction across key categories. Categories include accessories, branded merchandise (TOA/GWP), primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials, contract manufacturing, sampling and rework.

Key projects will include collating and analysing all rebate data to provide accurate forecast for Finance budgeting. They will manage the end-to-end rebate process, including tracking rebate submissions, validating claims, and ensuring accurate and timely rebate payments. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Must have expertise in Excel and ideally Power BI/macros. Project managing several ad-hoc support projects will also be a key activity within the role.

As a Sourcing AnalystDirect Materials you will

  • Data Analysis and Reporting - Collect and analyse data related to the sourcing of materials and finished products, evaluating the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the supply base and cost structures.
  • Rebate Management - Streamline and manage supplier rebate programs to maximise financial benefits and streamline process and procedures for the business, allowing for accurate forecast and budgeting. Ensure rebates are compliant with contractual T&Cs, investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to rebate claims and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of rebate submissions, approvals, and payments.
  • Market Research – Conduct and analyse the market to identify potential vendors and evaluate their capabilities, quality, and pricing (all to be in line with the Sourcing Strategy and ESG goals).
  • Market Trends - Monitor and forecast market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes that may impact sourcing strategies.
  • Index Tracking - Monitor and analyse market indexes and pricing trends providing monthly reporting to the team to support in proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise supplier selection.
  • Benchmarking - Conduct benchmarking to ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality standards. All in accordance with Procurement Director’s expected annual savings targets for the Department.
  • Supplier Performance – Organise Supplier Reviews, support in evaluating performance whilst maintain strong relationships to address any issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Sourcing Process - Analyse and optimise sourcing processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define support in defining sourcing strategies and supplier selection criteria.
  • Information Maintenance - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supplier information, capabilities, contractual terms, and pricing agreements.
  • Category Management – Support in implementing effective category management practices to maximise cost savings and efficiency across sourcing. Develop a deep understanding of the relevant categories and lead efforts to consolidate suppliers and streamline processes.
  • Cost Management - Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate competitive pricing and contractual terms with vendors.
  • Compliance and Sustainability - Stay updated on industry regulations and requirements related to packaging and manufacturing practices. Drive sustainable sourcing initiatives to minimise environmental impact and support corporate social responsibility goals.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration - Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including NPD, Pack Development, ESG, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Legal to align sourcing activities with business objectives. Understand and communicate the requirements of internal stakeholders to suppliers.

About you

  • Learning Curve - Capability to quickly take on board and disseminate new data/info quickly and communicate to team effectively.
  • Attention to Detail – Able to work at an extremely fast pace, without making unchecked errors across a wide range of projects at the same time.
  • Conflicting Priorities - Ability to commit to and deliver against deadlines agreed, where there will be multiple priorities to consider and manage.
  • Project Management Skills – Must be conversant with both sourcing tenders/RFP processes and ideally VAVE project management with suppliers.
  • Commercial Acumen - Role holder must possess strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Autonomy – Self-motivated and proactive. Must be able to take responsibility for own resource time, prioritising work according to demands of the Head of Sourcing taking ownership of delivery, with minimal direct support.
  • Proven experience in global procurement/strategic sourcing analysis, preferably within the luxury cosmetics or personal care industry.
  • Proven track record in managing rebate programs and experience using rebate management software or ERP systems.
  • Some global market dynamics and pricing trends, including index tracking methodologies.
  • Must have an analytical mindset and strong data analysis skills including excel analytical expertise, including VLOOKUP’s, nest IF statements, pivot table filters etc.
  • Must be comfortable working with ambiguous and/or incomplete information.
