This is an extremely exciting time to join the business as they embark on a bold transformation and expansion programme.
Typically a B2B organisation, you will support business growth in consumer markets, working on its private label range and competing with the more well-established brands in this sector.
This is a newly created role, focussing significantly on NPD and playing an instrumental part in the organisation's consumer transformation.
Working with 180 sites across Europe, over 100 suppliers and managing 2000 SKUs, you will lead end-to-end sourcing projects and be a crucial driver in developing innovative new products.
This role requires someone from a consumables/commodities background, with strong commercial acumen and excellent negotiation and stakeholder management expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for developing RFQ templates and analysis models to enable consistent briefing to suppliers and standardised assessment of commercial offers.
- You will be accountable for preparing RFQ's against the product and commercial brief set by the central brand and local commercial teams.
- You will be responsible for delivering the agreed NPD projects per quarter
- You will be a crucial driver and demonstrate an innovative approach to obtaining market intelligence from suppliers and other sources.
- You will be responsible for collating data from suppliers and providing formal handover to Quality and Regulatory teams to enable new suppliers and new products to be assessed to ensure compliance with Group due diligence requirements for both the supplier and product.
- You will lead the preparation and execution of the Commercial Supply Agreements within the agreed timeframes in the NPD plan and by company policies.
- You will lead supplier negotiations, ensuring that the costs of goods (COGs) remain competitive to maximise profitability
- You will play a critical role in the Monthly Operational NPD Meetings with the European Business units.
