I am currently recruiting for a Sourcing Manager to join a well-established and successful FMCG retailer who are a market leader in the Health and Beauty market on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract starting ASAP.

You will be responsible for leading and delivering the sourcing and procurement strategy for the own brand category. You will also be accountable to manage the own brand portfolio to deliver the & Buying strategy financial plan to ensure the growth in both sales & profitability while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued development within the own brand department. As a Sourcing Manager some of your duties will include;

• Take full end to end ownership of the commercial & sourcing strategy for the Own Brand categories.
• Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
• Create clear and compelling category plan.
• Providing a fit for purposes plan for supply chain to work with
• Coordinating products to buy across multiple countries.
• Maintaining best cost prices across the department
• Understand key cost drivers (and impacts) within your category and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
• Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines with the buying team.
• Attending trade fairs / shows including occasional international.
• Working closely with the New Product Development teams to maintain quality levels within products.
• Presenting reports, figures and trend information to the Senior Management team

Key requirements for the role;

• Proven previous Buying / Procurement / Sourcing experience within a fast-moving FMCG / Food environment.
• Global sourcing and procurement experience, preferably in an Own Label capacity
• Understanding or tracking commodities and commodity markets
• Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
• Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing retail market.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
• Excellent understanding of all MS Office products.
