About the role:
We have an incredible opportunity available for a motivated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join this wonderful and progressive primary school, situated in Bristol. The role is set to commence as soon as possible, where you will be working alongside the existing dedicated and highly trained staff.
Your role will include:
- Teaching students with SEND/SEMH in specialist classes or groups
Teaching in a range of environments tailored to each pupil
Preparing lessons and resources
Assessing individual pupils' needs
Formulating educational plans
Liaising with existing staff
Adapting support to suit the needs of the pupils
What the client is looking for:
The academy prides itself on tailoring a plan of development for each pupil, to help build the pupil towards a safe and independent life. The teaching staff across the school are to encourage and teach pupils about their own needs. Each pupil is supported in 'owning’ their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), as well as an emphasis on outdoor learning, making use of the beautiful campus and bespoke physical development programme. The candidate will be someone who is caring and patient, as well as an understanding of the challenges that may be encountered with pupils with challenging behaviours.
