SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT

Location: South Bradford

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: Long Term Contract

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm - Monday - Friday

Pay: £90 - £100 per day, depending on experience

Leader Education is currently recruiting for a number of SEN Teaching Assistants for a SEN school in Bradford, which is co-located with a mainstream high school.

The school provides education for children aged 11 - 19 who have been identified as having Special Educational Needs.

We're looking for individuals who are nurturing, understanding and empathetic to the needs of the children. The position involves assisting the children with learning in the classroom, in both the specialised provision and mainstream lessons, and helping to accommodate learning to the needs of the children.

Previous experience supporting children or special needs ideal. Team Teach training is advantageous, however free training may be provided.

The ideal candidate:

• Have previous experience working with children in an educational setting, or have previous experience supporting individuals with Autism or other Special Educational Needs
• Be caring, patient, and nurturing towards students
• Be motivated and enthusiastic when it comes to learning
• Have a passion for teaching and learning, and have the ability to make learning fun and engaging for students
• Have the ability to work effectively within a team, alongside working off your own initiative
• Team Teachand Moving and Handling training would be advantageous
