We are seeking a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work at our school in Chorlton. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of pupils, each with unique Educational Needs.
Role: Special Educational Needs Teaching AssistantLocation: Chorlton, Manchester
Key Responsibilities:
- Individualised Support: Provide personalised support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), dyslexia, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
- Assistive Learning: Implement specialised teaching techniques and assistive technologies to facilitate pupils' learning and development.
- Inclusive Environment: Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued, respected, and included.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to create and implement personalized learning plans for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess pupils' progress and adjust teaching methods and strategies accordingly to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs is preferred.
- Understanding of various learning styles and ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
