Special Needs Teacher

This is a vacancy for a Special Needs Teacher, to start ASAP at a Special Needs school in Rochdale.

This is a full time & long term role with the potential to turn permanent for the right person.

Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.
Pay - Excellent rate up to £190/day for the first 12 weeks, then equal pay to a permanent member of staff doing a similar role from the 13th week onward.

Paid PAYE direct with Tradewind, we don't use umbrella pay companies.

They are looking for a teacher who has prior experience teaching students with SEND & someone who is the empathetic, patient and able to differentiate their work to meet individual needs and levels.

*Primary, Secondary & SEND Teachers considered.

The school caters for young people at KS3-5 with Complex Needs utilising a bespoke curriculum that is focused on preparing students for life after school and aiming to help them achieve their potential. The 3 learning stages are based on Experience, Explore & Enable, incorporating PSED, Physical Development, Outdoor Education, Sensory Exploration, Communication, Understanding the World, STEM, Vocational options, Leisure and Employability with Numeracy, Literacy, History, Science, ICT, PE, Swimming, Music, Art, Dance & Drama, Textiles, DofE, Hair & Beauty, Office, Computing, Catering and more embedded within.

To join us and be successful in this Special Needs Teacher role, you will need to:

• Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one)
• Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
• Min. of 2 professional references.
• Provide a CV with a full history.
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.
• Have QTS or QTLS.
• Ability to cover a range of subjects.
• Some experience teaching children with SEND.
