My client is an established, specialist prime residential main contractor.

They specialise in high end residential refurbishments in London's prime postcodes and super Prime Residential new builds in the Home Counties.

The Opportunity

• As an established business they are looking to develop a brand new division within the company.
• The new Special Works Division will manage small works projects (typically sub £2m), maintenance works, and specialist projects with ultra high spec finishes.
• Reporting to the Managing Director you will have full responsibility for the business unit.
• They are seeking a dynamic character with extensive experience in Prime Residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Division Setup and Strategy:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the Special Works Division.
  • Establish operational processes, quality standards, and performance metrics.
  • Define the division's service offerings, ensuring alignment with market demand and company objectives.
• Project Management:
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of Special Works projects.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Implement rigorous project management methodologies to track progress and address any issues promptly.
• Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of site managers, site supervisors, and skilled tradespeople.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing support and development opportunities.
• Client Relations:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Develop strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals, architects, designers, and other stakeholders.
• Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the division’s budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the division’s project portfolio.
  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies and promotional activities to attract high-value clients.
  • Participate in industry events and network to enhance the division’s profile.
