Job description
The post holder will have excellent clinical skills in MRI imaging and will support the Pre-treatment Section Manager to implement and roll out the safe and effective integration of a dedicated MR Simulator into the Radiotherapy Department. The post holder will manage their designated area of responsibility (MR Sim, Radiotherapy Department) providing a highly specialised clinical service to patients suffering with cancer. Leadership, communication, presentation, training and team skills will be important in this post. The post holder will be responsible for developing a robust education and training programme, which will be required for all of the Radiotherapy Team, to maintain and advance capability and capacity.The post holder will be the ‘MR Responsible Person’ and as such will lead on MRI safety and work closely with the current Band 7 Pre-treatment Therapeutic Radiographer, each bringing the required expertise to ensure the safe installation and operational roll out of the MR Sim.

BSc (Hons) Radiography (or equivalent) or DCR(R).Minimum of 5 years post graduate radiographic experience with a minimum of 3 years MRI experience at Band 6 or higher within a clinical environment , Management experience.Postgraduate management qualification.Experience of working with oncology patients.Experience in working on CT scanners
