An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Medical Team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. This post is responsible for the management and day to day running of the in-patient wards in a variety of specialties including Rheumatology, Cardiology, Respiratory, gastroenterology and general medicine. The AHP team work closely alongside the multi-disciplinary team, to facilitate patient flow throughout hospital admission and discharge back into the community.
The post holder will be expected to deliver high quality, evidence-based Physiotherapy assessments and treatments as well as being an effective team player with excellent communication skills.
This position will involve the delivery and development of rotational induction and education, as well as being involved in student education, therefore experience of teaching and educating are essential.
The Medical AHP Team is an innovative team that is always evolving to enhance care for our complex patient group, as such, experience of audit, service evaluation and quality improvement are highly desired.
Experience though a variety of rotations is essential, as is experience of generic PT/OT working. Prior Band 6 experience is desirable but not essential.
We are looking for a forward thinking, dynamic and hard-working therapist looking to further their professional experience in acute medicine.
