Specialist Speech And Language Therapist Surestart

The Speech and Language Therapy service in Sure Start aims to enhance the communication skills and communicative environment of all children in the Sure Start area, in order to provide a firm foundation for social, emotional and educational development. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a specialist Speech and Language Therapy service within the Sure Start Project/s. They will work as part of the Sure Start team and in close liaison with core Speech & Language Therapy services within the NHSCT. Interagency liaison with Education, Community and Voluntary sector and Early Years services within the Sure Start project area will be required to promote and develop a collaborative approach to the management of children with speech, language and communication needs. This will be delivered across a range of programmes and settings for example family homes, Sure Start centres, Sure Start Developmental Programme for 2-3 Year Olds, Community Venues. .
