Our tailored approach means we are able to support young people with a wide range of needs, from those who are broadly average in their ability to others, who have more severe learning difficulties.We provide a total environment where young people are offered safe, secure and predictable surroundings in which they can come to understand their own areas of difficulties and learn skills and techniques in order to overcome them. We seek to maximise independence and individual potential so pupils gain the skills to live happy, meaningful and fulfilling live.We are seeking a suitably qualified and registered Speech and Language Therapist with a passionate and informed interest in Autism (ASC) and co conditions to join our team at Aspris, Newbury Manor School. Professional supervisionis included in this role and does not need to be funded by the applicant.The successful applicant will:have tangible experience supporting and facilitating 1:1 and group therapy to young people between the ages of 5
19 yrs.Have a sound knowledge of evidence based support within the field of ASC is required.have suitable experience supporting language and developmental delays, skilled in facilitating standardised assessment[s], scoring, analysis and creating bespoke programmes.Be proactive in disseminating best ways of working to the wider support team and will be confident to deliver onsite profession specific training to colleagues as and when required.Work in close partnership with a diverse team of Therapy, educational and care specialists, including our Occupational Therapists, Counsellor, Educational Psychologists and Dyslexia specialist to deliver tailored support that meets the needs of each young person.Join a supportive and experienced team of dedicated support staff, committed to delivering the very best care.Be actively encouraged and supported to remain up to date with CPD and both internal and external training opportunities are available to you.Receive a bespoke internal induction programme and the ability to network with Therapists across other Aspris sites.At Aspris Childrens Services , we are immensely proud of the career pathway and training we can offer you.
