Are you a studying at the University of Edinburgh? Would you like to gain work experience that will compliment your degree and enhance your employability? After 3 successful years, Sport & Exercise are continuing their Student Employment Programme by seeking 10 new part-time Sports Assistants for the 2024-25 academic year.
Candidates must understand the importance of team culture and demonstrate how their contribution will make a positive impact. Candidates must possess a high level of energy and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
The Opportunity:
Working 2 shifts per week, you will share responsibility with a team of Sports Assistants for providing a safe, clean and pleasant environment for members, guests and colleagues.
Candidates will be based at 1 of 3 sites for their 10 hours with the opportunity to explore other areas of the business. Site allocations will be based on candidate’s skills, availability and interests to compliment each facility’s needs (Candidates interested in St Leonard’s Land must be competent swimmers).
The Sites:
Pleasance Sports Complex - one of the country’s leading gym facilities housing two multi-purpose sports halls, dance studios, squash courts, boxing and martial arts areas, archery and rifle ranges and climbing/bouldering walls.
St Leonard’s Land – the home to our 6x25m swimming pool, sports halls, Free Weights Gym and a hub for University Sports Teams.
Peffermill Playing Fields - a space which offers a hugely impressive array of training and competition facilities.
