Supply Desk are currently working with a number of client schools who are searching for Sport and PE specialists who hold or are working towards a Sports degree to support in their PE and Science departments, for both day to day and long term requirements. Our clients are also happy to consider candidates who have experience as a Sports Coach, and who are looking for a role in Education, based in Rhondda and the surrounding areas.
As a sports coach, you would be expected to cover a variety of age groups within secondary schools, and may sometimes need to cover lessons outside of your specialism which will help you gain subject knowledge across a range of topics. However, there is no planning or marking required.
This role is an ideal opportunity for any graduates looking to gain experience in Cardiff schools as an unqualified teacher, to help you decide if you would like to pursue a career in teaching.
Roles can vary from day to day cover, short term or long term. Whether you are looking for a full time, part time or flexible role to fit around university and other commitments, we would love to hear from you and help you to progress forward in your career.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- At least 6 weeks experience working with children desirable but not essential
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Recent University Graduate or currently studying for a degree in Sport Science or a related discipline.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle desirable
- EWC registration or willing to apply
- Current Enhanced DBS registered on the update system or willing to apply
