Due to restructuring, Hoist Finance are now looking to recruit a SQL Database Operations Lead, where you will be instrumental in reshaping and optimizing the existing SQL environment. Your primary focus will be taking over from the existing offshore delivery team, ensuring the SQL environment is optimised and running smoothly.
As a SQL Database Operations Lead you will need to have the following:
- Strong experience as a SQL DBA including installation, configuration, maintenance and trouble shooting
- In depth knowledge of database security, encryption and access control mechanisms
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning, query optimization and indexing
- Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions for SQL Databases
- Experience with database monitoring tools
- Excellent Azure Cloud experience
- Excellent Communication skills
On a daily basis you will be:
- Managing SQL Licences and Quotas
- Managing and administering the SQL database systems, ensuring their optimal availability, performance and security
- Monitoring database performance, trouble shooting and resolving issues, and ensuring the availability and reliability of database systems
- Upgrading the SQL Databases
