Job description

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a consistently high standard of nursing care that meets the individual needs of our patients and those of the Trust.
The post holder will demonstrate clinical expertise in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care that puts patients at the centre of this approach.
The post holder will be expected to have the required management and facilitation skills that allows them to supervise the activity of other staff in the clinical setting, promote multi-disciplinary working and facilitate a supportive and learning environment.
The post holder may, on occasions, be required to assume responsibility for the ward / department in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse.
As a Registered Nurse the post holder is expected to consistently act in accordance with the NMC Code
Come and work as a registered nurse in a small outpatient team seeing patients within the Breast Unit speciality. Your tasks will vary from chaperoning patients in Consultations with Clinicians, Assisting the Radiologist with Patient Biopsies, Undertaking the Nurse led Patient Wound Clinics and assessing Patients prior to Surgery. There is also the opportunity to expand your skills in other Outpatient Areas and specialities.
The Breast Unit outpatients department is a busy outpatient department with a high throughput of patients, catering for all Breast concerns. This post represents an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse to develop there skills in relation to wounds, wound dressings and pre-assessment.
Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work well as part of the multidisciplinary team. They must also have a willingness to expand their knowledge and skills in relation to the Breast speciality.
