The Transport and Stage team (Team) has two Stage Manager positions, which each cover an even share of the Schedule, which includes a proportion of Central London events, other UK concerts and international tours. The Stage Managers ensure that the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) and Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra (RPCO) events, in the UK and internationally are effectively staged. The Stage Managers also support RPO Resound (Community and Education outreach) events when required.
On event days, the Stage Manager ensures the safe and timely setting and dismantling of the stage layout wherever the Orchestras are performing. This involves working with Team members and venue personnel on the loading and unloading of instruments between warehouse, truck and venues.
The role is responsible for stage planning using Microsoft Visio software, taking into account the variety of venues and diverse programming of the Orchestras.
