SalarySheridan Maine is excited to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Statutory Accountant to join the central finance team of a prestigious property management organisation based in West London. This is initially a temporary position with a minimum duration of 6 months, with a strong likelihood of becoming a permanent role.
Role Overview:
As a Statutory Accountant, you will be a vital part of delivering high-quality group accounting services. Your responsibilities will encompass preparing, examining, and analysing financial reports, statements, and records with a keen focus on compliance with UK GAAP. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the production of Statutory Accounts for all legal entities and Group consolidations, following relevant accounting standards.
Your responsibilities as the Statutory Accountant will include:
- Prepare and examine financial reports, ensuring precision and compliance with UK GAAP.
- Analyse financial statements and records to provide insightful contributions to the central finance team.
- Ensure the Financial statements are in full compliance with FRS 102. Understand and adhere to all financial and accounting regulations and legislation.
- Coordinate year-end audit for group financial statements, managing audit packs, schedules, and relationships, while promptly resolving fieldwork and auditor-related issues.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams for a seamless financial reporting process.
To be considered for the position of Statutory Accountant, you will have:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS or equivalent) preferably within a top 10 practice.
- Experience in similar statutory accounting roles with medium to large group of companies.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
This rate is exclusive and opts out of IR35.
