Statutory Accountant

MBA are looking for a qualified Statutory Accountant with experience in regulatory accounting . Our client is looking to expand their team,  this role is a hybrid position with travel into Birmingham.
 
This role is to support a number of internal entities and the duties of the Statutory Accountant will include

• Preparation and submission of  statutory financial statements across a number of  entities in compliance with UK GAAP
• Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements, tax regulations, and accounting standards
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Preparation of monthly revenue calculations  
• Production of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet for deadline submission

Statutory Accountant requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with significant experience in statutory accounting and financial reporting.
• Thorough knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS and experience in preparing statutory financial statements.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with external auditors and managing the audit process
