Stock Analyst/ Analysis/ Advanced Excel/ Reconciliations/ Career Progression/ Study Support / Free On Site Parking/ Hybrid Working (2 Days WFH)/ Finance, Business or Mathematics Graduates Welcome
Due to an internal promotion My UK leading client is looking for an advanced Excel user to join their Stocks Analysis team. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with previous analysis and reconciliations skills or a recent Finance/ Mathematics/ Business Graduate, looking to build upon their qualifications in an industry-based position.
This is a business-critical role that will ensure accurate stock positions are reported to internal stakeholders such as the accounting and risk teams, and external stakeholders such as the UK government and lenders.

Responsibilities:
- Stock reconciliations and analysis for UK terminal operations.
- Validation of daily inventory reporting in support of financing arrangements.
- Maintenance of the stock forecast to ensure compliance with the compulsory stock obligation.
- Preparation of monthly returns to the UK government (Department for BEIS)
- Assistance with monthly excise duty calculations.
- Monthly controls to ensure compliance with the company’s SOX programme.
- Ad-hoc reporting and assistance as required.
- Support project work as required.
- Analysis of inventory reports.
- Validation of purchase and sales volumes and detailed reconciliation work.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar position or a Finance, Business or Mathematics related degree.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A high level of numeracy
- Advanced Excel skills
- An enthusiastic, motivated, and positive approach to projects and duties
- A desire to progress in a finance related role.
- A team player mentality, committed to achieving both personal and team goals.
