Job description

Overview of the role

Responsible for ensuring the team of Stock Analysts provide accurate management of stock in both OTC Retail and OTC Wholesale, spread across our warehouses in Stoke and Redditch and in store, including product forecasting and ordering, depot replenishment and on-shelf availability. 

Main Responsibility

•    Responsible for the Stock Analysts direct reports Objectives, through support / coaching / development and regular feedback to ensure objectives are SMART and delivered
•    Responsible for ensuring HSC and Redditch stock is controlled and managed, engagement with Key stakeholders to ensure ordering to in line with delivering the business stock targets 
•    Develop an OTB model that gives transparency and supports delivery of the HSC/Redditch stock budgets
•    Responsible for delivering the Branch Stock budgets (OTC / WL) – deliver ways of working / processes / reporting tools to ensure leverage the capability of WL and look for the opportunities to optimise stock levels
•    Responsible for plans to manage Branch deadstock – working with Key stake holders across the business to build and deliver plans that manage deadstock out of the business
•    Responsible for Wonderlane developments (OTC)
•    Accountable for the forward planning horizon (e.g. Cough & Cold; Flu (NHS)) – forecasting the seasonal peaks and planning with key stake holders to ensure plans are robust, agreed and delivered – plan the build into seasons and exits
•    Responsible for investigating / delivering OTC / NHS synergies 
•    Accountable for system / supplier setting to optimise purchasing from suppliers
•    Supporting Head of Retail (OTC) with the implementation of strategy 
 

Problem Solving & Change:

•    Autonomous management of additional top-up orders, chasing of orders and subsequent prioritisation
•    Making recommendations to buyers before listing new lines or making pack size changes
•    Challenging product forecast following analysis of sales 
•    Influencing key stakeholders to drive availability improvements; strong understanding of logistics / depot operations
•    Make recommendations to improve current processes within Supply Chain

Key knowledge and skills required:

•    Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data and to take action
•    Strong attention to detail
•    Excellent communication and organisation skills
•    Ability to multi-task and to prioritise in an ever-changing environment; working under pressure.
•    Team player; ability to deliver through people of varying levels experience and skills
•    Excellent IT skills.  Excel skills need to be intermediate as a minimum, preferably advanced.  Applied use of Power BI is helpful.
