Stock Contoller
Menzies Distribution are looking for a Stock Controller to join us providing a first class service with out team in Droitwich. You ll be working on behalf of Menzies Distribution Solutions Limited and its customers.
The purpose of this role is to manage and support an effective operational process, which ensures accurate integrity of customer / suppliers stock and data input. Also ensuring that all operational processes and compliances are adhered to. The role will ensure that all legislative and regulatory requirements are upheld, and the highest standards of health and safety are always maintained.
The Details
- Salary: GBP30,431.70 Per Annum / GBP13.77 Per Hour
- Shift Pattern: Monday Friday
- Hours: 13 00 (although 12 00 will be considered)
- Weekend work will be required dependant on the business needs. Will be paid at overtime rate.
- Holiday entitlement is 28 days inclusive of bank holidays.

Key Duties and Accountabilities (Will include but not be limited to)
- Establish, monitor, and maintain agreed performance levels for all warehouse activity.
- Liaise, support, and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary.
- Strong system control, ensuring adjustments are fully understood and reported.
- Ensure efficient flow of stock throughout the site.
- Ensuring efficient and effective delivery and implementation of all aspects of Clients operational requirements.
- Maintenance and management of WMS.
- Completing cyclical-counting audits of stock locations.
- Investigating and resolving stock errors on the stock database.
- HACCP and BRC awareness.
- Effectively controlling goods in and goods out.
- Quality Control.
- Coordinate stock cycle counts and customer year end stock counts.
- Maintain a safe working environment which complies with aspects of the company H&S procedures.
- Monitor agreed performance levels for all warehouse stock related activity.
- Promoting an effective working environment building a diverse, well- balanced team.
- Ensure all environmental control measures are in place and are effective.
- Work closely with the site, customer and supplier stock teams ensuring clarity and consistency in all we do.
- Strong system control, ensuring adjustments are fully understood and reported.
- Ensure efficient flow of stock throughout the site.
- Communicate effectively with all departments on site.
- Good spoken and written communication skills.
- A professional manner.
- Good computer literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- MHE Articulated/Counterbalance/PPT licenses preferable.
- To be proactive within the role.
- Good people skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Will require some manual handling / lifting.
