A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Pavers for a Stock Controller to join our expanding team at our main distribution centre, at Northminster Business Park, Upper Poppleton, York. We have a full time 40 hour per week position available working 8am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, but with a requirement for some evening & weekend work on a rota basis.
About the Stock Controller role:
Working as part of the Stock Control team, reporting to the Stock Control Manager, you will help to maintain effective stock control systems and support the warehouse operation and stores by ensuring stock accuracy and integrity.
You’ll need to have solid administration or stock control experience with a good level of MS Excel skills, whilst being able to communicate effectively.
Responsibilities of a Stock Controller:
To maintain the accuracy of stock in the warehouse and in stores by operating and updating all stock systems as required
Carry out physical stock checks as required
Investigate and complete Inter branch transfers on the system as required
To support stores by attending stock counts, analysing and processing stocktake data
Responding to stock requests and queries from stores
Any other duties required by the company
Adhere to company health and safety policy
About You:
Strong administration skills with a good level of literacy and numeracy
Strong IT skills, especially within Microsoft Excel and Word
High levels of attention to detail
Team player with good communication and timekeeping skills
