Stock Controller

Job Role: Stock Controller
Location: Oldham
Shift: Days Only
Salary: £13.50ph

Metalis is working in partnership with a market leading supplier of bespoke prefabricated steel and mechanical products in Oldham who are looking to hire a Warehouse Operative on a 12 week temporary to permanent contract.

Job Duties:

• Working within Goods-In/Despatch, Consignment Stock and Stock in Transit
• Efficiently and effectively maintain and process inventory & stock
• Picking stock
• Booking -In Goods in a timely manner
• Working to the required standards and deadlines
• Organise and implement continuous stock checks, consider current stock movements and maintain a consistent level of stock accuracy
• Identify problems and refer to Warehouse Manager
• Investigate all stock discrepancies, process any resulting amendments and notify the relevant personnel
• Allocate and maintain accurate Bin Locations giving consideration for new and obsolete products
• Stock relocation, where appropriate for lines which for space sake need shifting.
• Action enquiries and queries quickly and efficiently or refer to immediate superior if unable to comply
• Identify and report any potential or actual breach of security in regards to stock

Job Requirements:

• Must have previous warehouse experience
• Must have experience with sheet metal & stainless steel within a high tolerance environment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good accuracy and attention to detail

Salary & Shift:

• Day shift only
• Monday to Thursday, 7am-4.30pm
• Friday 7.30am-3.30pm
• £13.50ph
