Job Specification – Line Leader

Back End Operations Manager
Role Purpose:
The role of the Line Leader is to be responsible for the control and monitoring of all stock movements in and out of the temp chill, the role requires the individual to note the quality on all stock being held in the temp chill and follow up as required
This job role will cover stock in/out of Temp chill and will co-ordinate with Technical colleagues and Production colleagues and be responsible for GMP within your area.
The remit includes maintaining all levels of performance and involvement within requirements of Health & Safety strategy.
The role will involve coordinating with the Planning Department on weekly plans & incoming stocks to ensure the chill is appropriately set up for both.

Person Specification
Skills & Abilities
· Supplying meat to sector 3 in a timely manner
· Responsible for ensuring stocks in area are counted accurately on a daily basis
· Attending the planning meeting with your stocks and highlighting issues
· Checking the plan looking 3 days in front to ensure there is enough meat to run production in the temp chill
· Ordering meat and rework from the cold store 2 days in advance
· Liaising with the operations and development manager to highlight when we don’t have the correct meat in the tempering room or cold store
· Ensure meat is used in the correct rotation FIFO and highlighting items close to use by dates
· Working with the sector 3 line leaders organise rework from the cold store checking first that there is none to be used in the tempering chill
· You are accountable for the GMP of the tempering chill
· You are responsible for ensuring you have a suitable deputy to cover any holidays
· You must maintain a clear and logical layout in the temp chill so stock can be easily found and utilised
Hours of work
Monday to Thursday 5 30 am till 5 30 pm
