My clients Established since 1959, its main trading activities during the sixties were focused in textiles and exporting from the renowned northern mills to over 100 countries. By the mid 1970’s, The Company had established itself as a major importer and distributor of electronic consumables within the United Kingdom and Europe. We had long association and partnerships with a number of major Japanese conglomerates and were official distributors for Sharp Electronics, Casio, Pioneer, Japan CBM, to name but a few.
They are now looking to add to their busy team a Stock Controller
•
Working closely with Stock Controller and buyers within key tender clients (ESPO, KCS, The Consortium, Herts).
• Gathering client forecasts monthly
• Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).
• Working with buying team to place vendor orders within and receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed.
• Making sure that the right amount and type of inventory is always available.
• They must have a good understanding of how things are shipped and the production side and customer distribution channels.
• Ability to understand and balance product availability and customer service with stock holding and inventory costs.
• Inventory optimisation to ensure the correct quantities of the correct products are in the most appropriate warehouse. (Stock balancing and MEIO)
• Manage stock holding to minimise slow and obsolete stock levels and their impact on working capital
• Collaborate with customers and sales colleagues to understand their needs and ensure high levels of product availability and customer service.
• Utilise the current stock forecasting, demand planning and ordering system methods
• Maintain appropriate forecasting tools and systems
• Maintain appropriate stocking policies to meet business needs.
• Ensure routines are maintained to deliver a smooth inbound supply of goods to support efficient warehouse activity; by manipulating lead times, reorder multiples and economic order quantities, etc.

2-3 days per week, or part time over 5 days. We can be flexible on the hours / days.
Hourly rate from £12 per hour
Holidays 20 per year + bank holidays
